Built for studios, by people who run one.
LavaBookings started because we couldn’t find booking software we actually liked using.
We ran a small studio. We tried every platform on the market. Some had great calendars but terrible reports. Some had slick marketing tools that spammed our clients. Most took a cut of every booking on top of the monthly fee.
So we built the tool we wished existed: calm, honest, and designed around how a studio day actually works. Not how a VC pitch deck says it should.
Craft
Beauty work is skilled, personal, and intentional. The software around it should meet that standard—not undercut it with clutter and noise.
Restraint
We say no more than we say yes. Fewer features, fewer screens, fewer notifications. Every pixel earns its place.
Warmth
Software can feel human. Friendly copy, thoughtful defaults, a booking page your clients actually enjoy. That’s not a nice-to-have—it’s the product.
The team
We’re a small team in the UK. Designers, engineers, and one person who still cuts hair on Saturdays. We use LavaBookings every day to run our own studio, which means we feel every rough edge before you do.
We don’t have a sales team. We don’t have a growth team. We have a product team that talks to studio owners every single week.
