Accessibility statement

Last updated: May 2026

1. Our commitment

LavaBookings is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

We believe that every studio owner, team member, and client should be able to use our platform regardless of ability or assistive technology.

2. Conformance status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.

LavaBookings is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard.

3. Technologies used

Accessibility of LavaBookings relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:

  • HTML
  • CSS
  • JavaScript
  • React and Next.js
  • WAI-ARIA

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.

4. Known limitations

Despite our best efforts, some areas of LavaBookings may not yet be fully accessible. Below is a description of known limitations:

  • Calendar widget: The date and time picker in the booking flow may have limited keyboard navigation. We are working on a fully keyboard-accessible alternative.
  • Charts and analytics: Some dashboard charts may not meet minimum colour contrast ratios and do not yet have text-based alternatives.
  • Third-party embeds: Some functionality provided by third parties (e.g. Stripe payment forms) may have accessibility limitations outside our direct control.

5. Remediation plan

We are committed to ongoing accessibility improvements:

  • Regular internal audits using automated tools and manual testing
  • Keyboard navigation testing across all interactive flows
  • Screen reader testing with VoiceOver (macOS) and NVDA (Windows)
  • Colour contrast verification across our full colour palette
  • Third-party accessibility audit planned before public launch

Identified issues are prioritised and addressed in our regular development cycle.

6. Feedback

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of LavaBookings. Please let us know if you encounter accessibility barriers:
